AARON ROSAND INTENSIVE VIOLIN STUDY PROGRAM

Our INTENSIVE VIOLIN STUDY PROGRAM, is now being offered for highly qualified students. Aaron Rosand, a legendary virtuoso, Professor of Violin at The Curtis Institute of Music and The Mannes College of Music, offers his reflections on violin practice and performance in the grand Tradition. During this program, Maestro Rosand will work individually with students in the Auer-Heifetz manner of small groups and conduct both open and master classes. There is both a 2 week program (July 29–August 12, 2012) and a 3 week program (July 22–August 12, 2012).

Program includes:

       Aaron Rosand and student

• Open discussion on development of individual sound, style and interpretation. Special attention given to technical problems
• Participation in Mr Rosand's master class (auditioned, add fee)
• Participation in the Student Gala Concert at the end of the session (auditioned)
• Eligibility to participate in the Mary Smart Concerto Competition
