Master Classes

Master Classes are presented daily by the Summit Music Festival faculty members and by distinguished guest artists. Master Classes offer the students a unique opportunity to participate in a mentoring process with experienced professionals. Interested students who would like to participate in the one-on-one interaction with a master teacher must undergo a selection process. Master Classes are open to the Summit Music Festival audience and students for observation. Participating in and attending master classes given by the Summit Music Festival faculty is included in the tuition fee unless otherwise noted by an asterisk [*].

Concert Series

Evening and afternoon performances will be given on a daily basis throughout the three week festival.These Summit Music Festival concerts feature students, SMF faculty members,and acclaimed guest artists. Selected students perform their solo repertoire at gala concerts and the chamber music groups perform at the end of the Festival.The prestigious and internationally acclaimed SMF faculty and guest artists give solo, duo, and chamber music recitals.The final concert features the Summit Music Festival Orchestra along with the winners of last year’s Concerto Competition. All concerts by faculty and guest artists are included in tuition and are open to the public for a fee. Student concerts are open and free to the public.

Lectures

Lectures are given regularly throughout the festival on diverse areas of musical interest. Some of our past speakers included David Dubal, Robert Sherman, Kevin Pickard, Adam Kent and Eugene Becker.
