Admission Requirements and FeesClick here for APPLICATION Each applicant for individual study and/or chamber music study must submit an audition tape NO LATER THAN MAY 15, 2008 to determine placement and level of proficiency. A letter of recommendation from your teacher is also required if you regularly study with a teacher not on the Summit Music Festival faculty. Please note: If you wish to be in the Chamber Music Intensive Study Program, your application must be in by May 15, 2008. Audition TapeAn audition tape is required for all applicants. The audition tape can include any repertoire that demonstrates best the applicant’s level, technical skills and musical expression. It can include more than one piece in order to display a variety of styles. Financial AidA limited amount of financial aid is available to qualified students. The aid includes a mandatory work study. Such jobs as concert assistant, stage manager and resident assistants will be filled by students who receive financial aid. Please include with your application a letter indicating your interest and skills for a particular job position. If you are interested in applying, you must include, with your application, a letter requesting financial assistance. This letter should contain the amount of financial aid necessary for you to attend the festival and a statement of the financial circumstances on which your Tuition & Fees
Payment ScheduleApplication Fee: A $80 non-refundable application fee ($100 after May 15, 2008) must accompany your application or you will not be considered for registration in the program. Tuition Deposit: Upon acceptance to the program, 50% of the tuition is due in order to hold your place in the program. Balance of Tuition & Room and Board Fees must be received no later than June 15, 2008. Additional FeesTuition Supplement: Certain professors indicated by an asterisk [*] will require an additional fee. For more information, please contact us. Cancellation & Refund PolicyCancellations made prior to June 15, 2008 will be entitled to a full refund of tuition and room and board paid. Cancellations made June 15 and up to July 1, 2008, will result in a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellations made after July 1, 2008 are not entitled to a refund. All payments must be in US Dollars and made payable to the Summit Music Festival, Inc. and drawn on a United States bank. Money Orders from a United States bank are also accepted.
